Farming Organic
Vineyard Comes from a selection of the best parcels located in Lucey, Bruley, Blénod les Toul and Buligny on well-drained clay and limestone slopes and are protected from the wet winds coming from the West. Gamay is grown on the south/ south-east facing slopes and the Pinot Noir is exposed south-east. The vines are protected from the prevailing west winds. The climate is semi-continental. Vines are at an altitude of 170 to 280 meters.
Soil Very well drained clay and limestone soils from Jurassic age.
Viticulture Organic conversion officially began in 2018. Vincent Lelièvre has been working towards organic certification for 10 years. Vines are trained Guyot simple and are planted at a density of 5,500 plants/ hectare.
Vinification The gamay and the pinot noir are harvested at the beginning of October and pressed individually directly afterwards. The grapes are fermented using native yeast in Inox tank at controlled temperature.
Aging The two different varietals are vinified and matured on lees separately in stainless steel tanks and then blended only a few weeks before bottling.
Production 6,000 cases produced.
