Private: Cruse Wine Company Vintage 94% from the 2017 vintage and the remainder from perpetual reserve. Bottle Sizes 750ml Country United States Region California Appellation California Wine Type Sparkling Varietals 54% Pinot Noir, 46% Chardonnay. Vineyard The vineyards used are Alder Springs, Rorick Vineyard, Keefer Ranch and Charles Heintz. Vinification The grapes were pressed using a traditional Champagne cycle and press cut. The wine proceeded through a native primary and malolactic fermentation in barrel. The wine was racked once and tirage bottled without fining or filtering. After approximately two years under tirage the wine was riddled and disgorged à la volée with zero dosage. Notes Tasting notes from Michael : An intense perfume of earth and fruit. Honey comb, pear overlay a light autolytic pastry note of sweet pastry cream and vanilla. On the palate, delicate berry fruit, unripe melon, with bright acidity and a tremendous length.
